Devotion is neither 'philosophy' nor 'religion' but a science that completely transforms a person. Devotion moulds the thought pattern and attitude of a person. Next century belongs to Bhaktiyoga not only for the common man but for the scientists also. Those who research on scientific facts will now conduct research on devotion. They are going to research on the effects of devotion on the behaviour and supreme consciousness of a person. They will research on "Bhaktiyoga."
Devotion has nothing to do with ceremonials or rituals. You may continue on with the rituals but you must know that devotion concerns with feelings, emotions. You need not go to schools or follow academics to study devotion. You just need to divert, to direct your path. Thought of jealousy, violence, hatred, greed, lust and anger if diverted towards God then it is said to be devotion.
Now God can not be confined to the Churches, temples or mosques but He ought to be given a live form in our life, in our society. God consciousness can not be had by austerity, meditation, sacrifices or rituals. There is only one way out now to attain God consciousness. Chanting of His name, belief in Him.
Devotional path is a nice path for the family, society and the civilisation as a whole. All family members sit a side with harmonium, guitar, and sing kirtana, bhajans (holy songs) - Sriman Narayana- Narayana- Narayana; that makes family a happy family. Study spiritual books, biographies of saints and seers and you will have eternal bliss, love and God's blessings.
